Project Templates is a great new feature that allows a project creator to have a template ready to go for a new project. The template is a project starter and it starts you off with a preset list of tasks that are shared among projects. It’s a time and effort saver so you can get busy completing the tasks rather than spending time recreating them each time you reuse a project workflow. It let’s you hit the ground running. The template tasks you create function just like a normal task — so you can add an attachment, estimated times, priority, etc. Here’s how to use our brand new templates feature.
On your LaunchPad, under active projects (admins only), you will see the new Project Templates and click Add New Project Template. Name it, enter the tasks to be shared in future projects and you are done.
If you’ve already created a template and want to use it again, when creating a new project, select your template from the drop down menu in the upper right hand corner.
There you have it. Go create a template now and watch your life get a little bit easier.
